Guyana’s Coronavirus death toll jumped to 541 as the Ministry of Health recorded six new COVID-19 related deaths. Five of the deaths are from Region 4, with the oldest being 95-years-old while the youngest was 33-years-old.

According to the Ministry of Health’s release, four of the deaths took place on the 29th July. The coronavirus death toll for July has now reached 65.

The Ministry of Health also reported that 65 new cases were also recorded with the majority of those cases in Region 4.

The total number of active cases in the country now stands at 785.

In the past four months alone, Guyana has recorded 301 Coronavirus related deaths and more than 12,000 new cases.
