Police investigators were called to the village of Drill, Mahaicony on Wednesday morning after the dismembered body of a man was found in a clump of bushes.

The man has been identified as 40-year-old Kurt Burke of the same Mahaicony area.

According to villagers, he was last seen alive on Tuesday afternoon.

The man’s head and torso along with his hands and one of his feet were recovered. His left foot is still to be found.

A number of persons in the community are being questioned about whether they may have heard any noise during the night or whether they may have witnessed anything strange.  Investigators also intend to speak to the man’s relatives.

The probe is ongoing.
