Ahead of Friday’s no confidence motion and vote, The APNU+AFC Coalition Government is reasserting that it is united, strong and stable.

In a statement last evening, the Government said that at yesterday’s cabinet meeting, members re-affirmed their patriotic commitment to Guyana as they strengthened their resolve to realise the good life for all.

The Government said though not without challenges and a few mis-steps, its successes are numerous and impressive after over three years in office.

The statement laid out the government’s case by highlighting several of its successes while offering a commitment to continue to work on the side of the people. It made reference to the increases in the public sector salaries, development work across the country, the declining crime figures and improvement of several sectors.

The Coalition Government holds a one seat majority in the National Assembly. It intends to use that one seat to defeat the motion that is being brought by the Opposition Leader, Bharrat Jagdeo.
