Three men in an unmarked car reportedly pulled up outside the man’s Coldigen, East Coast Demerara home and opened fire, hitting several parts of the building. No one was injured and its unclear whether Dominquez himself was at home at the time.

Police investigators are probing a shooting incident that occurred last evening at the home of fraud accused and ponzi scheme suspect, Yuri Dominquez.

Three men in an unmarked car reportedly pulled up outside the man’s Coldigen, East Coast Demerara home and opened fire, hitting several parts of the building.  No one was injured and its unclear whether Dominquez himself was at home at the time.

In a statement last night, the Police said the incident which occurred just before 9pm is being fully investigated. The crime scene was being processed up to late last night.

In its initial report of the incident, the Police said the man once lived at the house, but based on other information received, it appears as though Dominguez and his family were still living in the property.

The Cuban national is facing dozens of fraud charges in the Courts related to an investment scheme that saw hundreds of persons investing millions of dollars with the promise of big returns. 

He is currently out on bail on the charges and has been making moves to refund some of his former clients.
