Guyanese hairstylist busted in Atlanta with over 10 pounds cocaine

A Guyanese woman who travelled to Atlanta from Barbados is in the custody of Atlanta Police after being nabbed with over 10 pounds of cocaine in her suitcases.

The woman has been identified as Delshana Christopher of West Ruimveldt, Georgetown.  She reportedly travelled to Barbados earlier this week and spent two days there before heading to Atlanta on a direct flight.

The US Authorities are working in collaboration with the Barbadian Authorities. Guyana’s Customs Anti Narcotics Unit has also been informed of the bust, although from all appearances, she may have picked up her illegal cargo in Barbados.

Reports state that the woman arrived in Atlanta and when authorities carried out a check of her bags, they noticed several packets of cocaine stashed in her bags.

US Authorities have been reportedly monitoring her movements since she has been making a number of trips to the United States over the past few months.
