The Guyana Police Force has indicated that it is probing an alleged pirate attack in the Corentyne river which occurred on Tuesday and is combing the Corentyne River for the body of the boat captain who is feared drowned.

The crew members alone managed to swim to a vessel anchored some 100 meters from the shore.
