Vice President and Public Security Minister Khemraj Ramjattan today dismissed accusations by the Opposition PPP and its General Secretary Bharrat Jagdeo that he has an account at the Capital One Bank in the US with over $5million US dollars.

In a brief statement to News Source, Minister Ramjattan said “I Have nothing to do with Capital One or two or three. All my accounts are with the Integrity Commission and are all local”.

He said the accusations coming from the Opposition Leader and the PPP are nothing but fake news that should be expected.

“Jagabat Jagdeo and his propaganda czars in Robb Street are running bonkers”, Ramjattan declared.

At his solo end-of-year press conference this afternoon, Mr. Jagdeo issued a call for the Financial Intelligence Unit to launch an investigation into the allegations made by his party, the PPP.

Jagdeo said while he does not know if the allegations are true, the FIU could find out.
