Large quantity of cocaine busted in plywood in major CANU bust

Agents of the Customs Anti Narcotics Unit and the Guyana Revenue Authority have busted a large quantity of cocaine concealed in over 300 pieces of plywood that was being prepared for export.

The bust took place at Yarowkabra on the Linden Soesdyke Highway. The cocaine laden plywood was in a 40 ft container.

It is suspected that it may hundreds of pounds of cocaine concealed in the plywood.

 The plywood shipment was being prepared for export to the United States.

News Source understands that a number suspects in both Guyana and the United States are under probe in connection with the bust.

The container with the cocaine plywood has since been brought to Georgetown.
