Twenty-year-old Linden taxi driver, Orlando Flatts aka “Rango”, was stabbed to death just after midnight this morning after he allegedly forced his way into the home of his ex-girlfriend.
According to a Police statement, it was around 12:30 this morning that “Rango” armed himself with a piece of metal and forced his way into the Amerlia’s Ward apartment of his ex-lover and ended up in a confrontation with the woman’s current lover.
The taxi driver was stabbed in the region of his abdomen by the man that he allegedly broke into the house to attack. He was taken to the Linden Hospital where he was pronounced dead.
The 22-year-old assailant has since been arrested, but has several injuries to his left elbow and left palm. He is assisting with investigations.
According to the Police, the murder weapon as well as the piece of metal that the taxi driver had in his possession, have been retrieved and lodged.
The probe continues.
