The Manager of the Rio nightclub, Andy Bynoe aka “Montana”,  was today charged with renting rooms at the nightclub for prostitution purposes.

Bynoe made his first Court appearance this morning before Magistrate Sherdel Isaacs-Marcus and denied the allegations that were made against him in the charge.

The Prosecutor told the Court that between the 1st November and the 5th February, at the Rio Nightclub in Forshaw Street Queenstown, Bynoe rented several rooms for Brothel purposes.

The charge was put together following a recent raid at the establishment.

The Police Prosecutor did not object to bail, asked that conditions be applied to any bail package.

The Magistrate granted the accused bail in the sum of $30,000 and ordered him to report regularly to the Criminal Investigations Department of the Guyana Police Force until the completion of the case.

The matter will continue on the 18th February.
