Mosquito invasion forces protest at Wisburg School

Teachers and Students of the Wisburg Secondary School in Wismar, Linden are threatening to stay away from the classroom because of an invasion of mosquitoes in the school compound.

Teachers and students protested by sitting in yesterday during classes. Some teachers refused to teach and students complained bitterly about the bothersome, bloodsucking insect.

One teacher explained to News Source that most classrooms have become infested with mosquitoes and enough is not being done to tackle the problem. This is not the first time that the school has faced the problem. Authorities at Linden are looking to having the problem seriously tackled.

Region 10 Chairman, Sharma Solomon explained to News Source that a previous attempt to completely fog the school failed as the chemicals used may not have been strong enough to tackle the problem. He said he is aware of the latest reports of the mosquito invasion. Mr. Solomon explained that efforts are being made by the Regional Administration to work closely with the Education Department on the problem. He said exterminators will be called in to come up with a long term solution.

Teachers at the school fear that the infestation could lead to infections at the school.
