A young mother of two died Tuesday evening in a tragic accident on Mandela avenue. She has been identified as Shauna Rice.
Rice was the pillion rider on a motorcycle being driven by her partner when a speeding slammed into them. The partner, Steve Fiedkou has suffered several injuries and remains hospitalized in a serious condition.
The two had just left home in search of their young son who was taken from the home by a relative without their knowledge.
The driver of the car that slammed into them is in police custody as the investigations begin.
Relatives of the dead woman have described her as a loving mother who was all for her two children.
