Murdered Campellville mechanic was shot 3 times

The 21-year-old Campbellville mechanic, Jaleel Leow who was murdered in Sophia on Monday evening, was shot three times to his body, according to a post mortem examination.

The pathologist listed his cause of death as multiple gunshot injuries. Two of the bullets exited his body while one was found lodged in the body.

Police investigators are to probe that warhead as part of their investigations.

The youth was with a group of friends on Monday evening in Sophia when one of two men who appeared on bicycles opened fire on him as he walked into a yard.

He collapsed after being shot to the back. An eyewitness said the gunman stood over him and fired additional shots even as the youth attempted to escape. One of his friends was also injured in the shooting.

Police investigators have identified two men as persons of interest in the murder. One of them is a relative of a young man who is currently behind bars awaiting trial for murder.

The mechanic who was shot dead and his friend who was injured were both listed as witnesses for that murder case that is currently before the Courts.

There has been no arrest in the murder of the mechanic Jaleel Leow.
