The post mortem examination was conducted on the body of Shawn Albert aka Dexter Prince today and the pathologist found that a bullet entered the man's body through the armpit, exiting the chest close to his shoulder.

The 39-year-old pastry vendor who was killed when armed bandits opened fire on his pastry bus died from a gunshot wound to the chest, the post mortem examination has revealed.

The post mortem examination was conducted on the body of Shawn Albert aka Dexter Prince today and the pathologist found that a bullet entered the man’s body through the armpit, exiting the chest close to his shoulder.

The body has been handed over to his family for burial.

Albert and one of his workmates were selling pastries and bread in the Onderneeming sandpit area on Sunday night when they came under attack by armed bandits.

In an attempt to escape, the two salesmen tried to drive off from the scene but the bandits opened fire, hitting Albert who was driving the bus.

He crashed as the bandits escaped from the scene.

There have been no arrests.
