Police arrest wanted man “Beggar” for Albouystown murder

Wanted man, 38-year-old Sherlock Mckenzie aka “Beggar”, a resident of Albouystown, was arrested in Meadow Brook Gardens today in connection with the murder of 27-year-old Michael Payne.

Payne was shot dead during a quarrel over the seizure of a bicycle in La Penitence Street, Albouystown.

According to reports, Payne was staying at a relative in Ketley Street, Charlestown for the last three months and reportedly had an argument with McKenzie over “turf” within Albouystown.

The issue apparently escalated after McKenzie seized a bicycle from Payne’s cousin and took it to his La Penitence street home.

It is alleged that when Payne heard of the seizure, he and an accomplice went in a motor-vehicle to McKenzie’s home where they kicked down his door. A scuffle then ensued and Payne was shot. The deceased was found with gunshot wounds to his head, chest and upper left arm.
