Hours after the Guyana Police Force issued a wanted bulletin for 23-year-old Kevin Wilkinson, the man was found close to where he lived.

The bulletin was issued after Wilkinson escaped from an East Coast Demerara Police station on Thursday morning.

He was held as part of the investigations into the offences of rape and robbery under arms.

News Source understands that Wilkinson escaped after asking to use the washroom facility at the Police lockup.

The Police Force said a thorough investigation has started and that investigation is examining the circumstances surrounding the escape. Two Police ranks are under close arrest.

With the suspect back in custody, he is expected to face additional charges.
