Region One man arrested for murder of foster-son

Five days after the brutal stabbing death of 17-year-old Region One resident Daniel Wilson, his foster father has been arrested for the murder.

In a statement today, the Police Force said the man was arrested as investigators worked along with villagers and the Policing Group in the area.

The suspect, 30-year-old Nigel Abraham will face the murder charge next week. He is also expected to face a separate attempted murder charge for the stabbing of his foster son’s cousin.

A police statement earlier this week explained that Abraham, his foster son and the son’s cousin were at a drinking spot when the father and son got into an argument.

During the row, Abraham reportedly armed himself with a knife and started to stab the youth continuously. When the cousin attempted to stop him, he stabbed the cousin several times.

He escaped from the scene and the two youths were rushed to the hospital where the 17-year-old was pronounced dead on arrival while his 19-year-old cousin was admitted in a critical condition.

The police investigation of the incident is still active.
