It will see a number of Republic Bank’s business clients from several regional territories including Suriname, Trinidad and Tobago, and Barbados, coming to Guyana to share ideas and seek trade possibilities.

Republic Bank to host trade mission in Guyana

The Marriott Hotel is set to host the first ever Republic Bank Trade Mission in Guyana. 

The event takes place on Monday, November 28 and Tuesday November 29.

It will see a number of Republic Bank’s business clients from several regional territories including Suriname, Trinidad and Tobago, and Barbados, coming to Guyana to share ideas and seek trade possibilities. 

Suriname’s Minister of Finance, Gillmore Hoefdraad will also be delivering an address to the attendees on Monday morning.

Local businesses have also be invited to attend and participate as Republic Bank seeks to promote more business and trade relationships between Guyana and the region. 

Among topics earmarked for discussion are “Accessing Information on the legal, banking and other requirements for doing business in Guyana”, “Exploring new opportunities regionally” and “Meeting and networking with regional business counterparts.”

A few Key speakers will include the Executive Directors of Republic Bank Financial Holdings Limited and representatives of the Georgetown Chamber of Commerce,  Cameron and Shepherd (Attorneys), Ram and McRae (Chartered Accountants), along with Senior Officials from Suriname and Trinidad and Tobago.

The Trade Mission is themed, “Building Strong & Sustainable Business Relationships Across Borders” and it is expected that over 200 Business Executives and Leaders from Trinidad & Tobago, Barbados and Suriname and Guyana will attend.
