Police are investigating a stabbing incident between two brothers on Saturday morning which has left one of the siblings dead.
The incident occurred in ‘B’ Field Sophia, East Coast Demerara around 8:30 hrs.
Dead is 23-year-old Dexter Jules who is said to be unemployed and resides at the home in ‘B’ Field, Sophia.
Investigations so far have revealed that the deceased had an altercation with his brother who stabbed him to the left side chest.
After realising what he had done, the stabber then rushed his injured brother to the Georgetown hospital where he was pronounced dead.
The suspect, who was not identified by the police, was apprehended by public spirited citizens and handed over to the police. He is in custody assisting with the investigation.
