Police Investigators have reported that at about 3:30am on Wednesday, licensed firearm holder and owner of the A and N Electronic Store, shot and injured a burglar to his face.

A suspected bandit is nursing gunshot wounds to his face after being shot by the owner of a Georgetown store.

Police Investigators have reported that at about 3:30am on Wednesday,  licensed firearm holder and owner of  the A and N Electronic Store, shot and injured a burglar to his face.

According to the police, the businessman went to check on his business place after his alarm system went off. When he got there he noticed that a man had already broken into his business place.

 The burglar attacked the businessman and a confrontation ensued during which the burglar was shot to his face.  

The injured burglar has been identified as Leon Ombermuller, 45 years, of Alexander Street, Georgetown. He is under police guard at the GPHC.

On Sunday night, a suspected bandit who has been identified as Raphael Armstrong was shot dead by a Yarrowkabra shopkeeper during a robbery attempt. The bandit and the shopkeeper got into a scuffle during which the bandit’s gun fell from his hands and the shopkeeper was able to grab it.  He fired several shots at the bandit, hitting him a number of times across his body.
