Suspect in Tuschen triple murder arrested
The Guyana Police Force on Friday announced the arrest of the suspect in the murder  of three people  at Tuschen on the East Bank of Essequibo.
According to a police release, the canecutter who has been identified as Joshua Franklin was arrested by police on Friday morning in the Tuschen backdam. Cops believe he was hiding in the backdam since he brutally murdered his former mother in law, his 9-year-old stepdaughter and his ex-wife’s new boyfriend in a bloody rampage on December 18, 2014.
He also chopped his wife several times about the body. The woman remains hospitalised. According to reports the man had made contact with a local newspaper and said he wanted to “finish” off his ex-wife and his sister-in-law. Security was stepped up for the two women over the past week.
Investigators say charges will be filed against him early in the new week.
