A taxi driver who was charged four years ago with causing the death of a couple by dangerous driving, met his demise this morning in an accident along the Linden/Soesdyke Highway.

Dead is 29-year-old Mark Cameron of Guyhoc Park, Georgetown.

A police report said Cameron was driving a motor car along the Linden/Soesdyke highway at a fast rate when he lost control of the car, toppling several times. There were three other persons in the car.

They were all rushed to the Diamond hospital where the driver, Mark Cameron, was pronounced dead, while the three passengers were admitted with various injuries.

In 2017, Cameron was charged for causing the death of a couple, Dennis Ross and Jewel Pestano when he slammed into the motorcycle they were riding.

The man was found to be under the influence of alcohol and at the time of the early morning accident, he was driving at a fast rate with the car lights off.
