Travelspan adds additional aircraft, wants Guyanese flight attendants

New York based, Guyanese owned airline Travelspan intends to spread its wings wider in the new year and the carrier is getting ready to add a number of aircraft to its fleet as it looks to add more New York flights to the Georgetown route and to also examine the possibility of adding some Caribbean destinations to its schedule.

The airline is also looking to hire Guyanese flight attendants. In a statement on Monday, the company announced that “the recruitment process is to facilitate an additional aircraft that Vision Airlines will be putting into service for Guyana starting February 15th, 2014. Vision Airlines will be adding a 767-300 and two 767-200 aircraft to its fleet in addition to its 737 and Dornier aircraft.”

“The company seeks persons who have the ability to learn quickly, have effective communication and time management skills and an amiable personality. University graduates are preferred. Qualified applicants are encouraged to send their resumes and a photo to [email protected]”, the statement added.

TravelSpan began nonstop service between New York and Georgetown in December, 2013. The airline previously served the Guyana market but intends to offer a better service this time around.
