Tropical Storm Dorian forces LIAT to ground several flights

Passengers who decide to travel but are unable to complete their journey due to disruption caused by weather conditions, will not be provided with meals, transportation, hotel accommodation etc. Passengers with onward connections are advised to contact the respective regional and international carriers.

Tropical Storm Dorian forces LIAT to ground several flights

Regional Airline LIAT has announced that it is taking precautions against Tropical Storm Dorian that is threatening a number of Caribbean countries. 

The airline has announced that it has been forced to cancel a number of flights across the region in wake of the storm. 

Flights from Guyana to Barbados and from Barbados to Guyana have been affected.  LIAT operates two daily flights between the two countries. 

The airline said affected passengers have up until Wednesday to rebook their flights. All change fees and fare differences will be waived. 

Affected passengers are also being asked to contact the LIAT call centre for further details.

LI 512 from Barbados to Antigua (LI 512 direct from Ogle to Antigua is also cancelled)

Passengers will be allowed to rebook their flights between 25th August – 28th August 2019. Affected passengers will have all change fees and fare differences waived for travel within the specified rebooking period.

LIAT regrets any inconvenience caused by these cancellations as a result of the passage of the impending tropical storm.
