At the Georgetown Magistrates’ Court today, two men were slapped with a charge of receiving a stolen Premio motor car and were both released on $200,000 bail.

The two men, 30-year-old, Mohadeo Lall and 27-year-old Munesh Persaud,  both stood before Principal Magistrate Judy Latchman and entered pleas of not guilty after the charge was read to them.

The Court heard that on April 30th at Princess Street, the two received a stolen Premio car valued 2.2 Million from Arland Angus.

The car is the property of Anthony Picket, and according to the Prosecutor, the two men were aware that the car had been stolen.

The Attorney for the two men claimed that one of them operates a vehicle body workshop for repairs while the other had rented the car from the man he thought was the owner. That man has already been charged.

The two men will return to Court in early June.
