Two youths, who are accused of stabbing a 16-year-old boy to death at a school fair recently, were charged and remanded to prison today for the teenager’s murder.

In the Courtroom of the Chief Magistrate today, 20-year-old, Shonnon Cox and 17-year-old, Andy Peter, were not required to enter a plea to the indictable charge of murder, as it was read to them.

They are accused of murdering Brian Yearwood on the night of April 29, 2017 in the compound of the Covent Garden nursery school, where they were all attending a school fair.

The youth was stabbed to his chest following an earlier altercation between the three. The two accused reportedly ran from the scene as the teenager fell to the ground.  He was rushed to the Diamond Hospital where  doctors pronounced him dead on arrival.

The two suspects were eventually nabbed by Police after eyewitnesses provided statements.  They will both make their next court appearance on May 22, 2017.
