The university said this year, it will welcome over 3000 new students who will join 8000 continuing students, three thousand of whom are set to graduate later this year.

UG to offer in-person and online classes from 12th September

The University of Guyana has announced that it will commence the new academic year from the 12th September with orientation sessions for new and continuing students beginning from the 5th September.

In a statement, the university said classes for most new and continuing students will begin on the 12th September.

It was explained that depending on the courses being pursued, classes will be offered in online, face-to-face or blended learning formats. 

Faculties and other academic departments continue to advise their respective students directly about options available to them.

The online timetabling system is to be made available on the university’s website.

Virtual orientations for new and continuing students of the Turkeyen, Berbice Campuses and Institutes for Distance and Continuing Education (IDCE) will run for one week, the university noted.
