Another major US carrier is eyeing the Guyana market and has started to explore the possibility of beginning a service to Guyana.

Outgoing US Ambassador to Guyana, Perry Holloway, has confirmed that he was contacted by officials of United Airlines about destination Guyana. He said he explained to the airline that it would be a fantastic business opportunity for United Airlines to begin a service to Guyana, taking into account Guyana’s move into the oil industry.

He said United has a hub in Houston, Texas and with several major oil companies having their headquarters or at least an office there, it would be beneficial for the airline to come to Guyana.
