Veteran Broadcaster Roger Moore dies

Veteran Guyanese broadcaster and talk show host ROGER MOORE has died. He passed away earlier today at home in the United Kingdom where he had been ailing for a while.

Moore was best known for his Come Home to Roger and At Home with Roger tv programmes which were aired on HBTV channel 9 before he migrated to the United Kingdom.

Before that, he was a Broadcaster with the Guyana Broadcasting Corporation where he hosted a number of programmes. Outside of his broadcasting career, Roger Moore also took on the job of social activist and used his tv shows to raise consciousness and address many of the ills in the Guyanese society.

He is being remembered as a fearless activist who found comfort in addressing major issues when his audience was At Home.
