A 46-year-old waitress was shot straight to the head and died on the spot on Wednesday night at the Country Club Restaurant and Bar at Chateau Margot, East Coast Demerara, during an argument with a group of customers.

According to a police report, the woman whose name has been given as Selena was involved in an argument with a group of patrons just after 10 pm, when one of the men whipped out a firearm and fatally shot her to the head.

The group of customers reportedly ran away from the scene immediately.

News Source understands that other persons who were in the bar at the time of the incident and the bar owner are being questioned. The woman lived just behind the bar.
