Police investigators have issued a wanted bulletin for a 42-year-old East La Penitence man in connection with the gunning down of Tiger Bay youth, Dale Christopher at a j’ouvert fete in Lodge on Mashramani morning.

The wanted man has been identified as Osafo Grundall.

The 27-year-old shooting victim, Dale Christopher, was shot once to his abdomen and was pronounced dead at the Georgetown Hospital after being rushed there by a group of friends.

It remains unclear what led to the shooting, but the main suspect Osafo Grundall, is no stranger to law enforcement.

He had been previously fingered in a number of armed robberies and was charged two years ago for the murder of Lodge resident, Marlon Rodney.

The Guyana Police Force is asking for anyone who may have information on his whereabouts to contact the nearest Police station or call 911.

The shooting incident took place at a roadside J’ouvert party in Lodge just after 6 am on Tuesday.

Eyewitnesses recalled hearing two to three loud explosions before the crowd of more than 500 persons was seen running to safety.

The party was held despite a national curfew which prohibits social gatherings and events. The Tiger Bay youth who was shot dead was in the company of his friends. Family members said he left home just after 1 o’ clock in the morning to attend the party.
