Woman’s body found with head, feet and hands missing at Buxton seawall

The badly mutilated body of a woman was found early on Thursday morning at the Buxton/Annandale seawalls and the discovery has sent shock waves throughout the East Coast communities.

Police investigators were called to the scene after the body  was spotted by passers by. It appeared to have been washed up from the ocean. The head, legs and hands were all missing and appeared to have been cut off, according to initial investigations.

The torso of the body was found clad in what appeared to be a pink top with a blue looking piece of clothing. The body is still to be identified.

Just on Wednesday, the body of a 15-year-old girl was found on the seawalls at Turkeyen. She appeared to have been sexually assaulted before being murdered. Last weekend, the body of a 29-year-old man was found closer to Georgetown along the same stretch of seawalls. A post mortem examination found that he died from drowning after being held under the water. There were several marks of violence to his body.

Investigations into all three incidents are ongoing.
