The Ministry of Public Works has indicated that individuals, agencies and companies seeking to have signs and advertisements painted along the seawall between Kingston and Ogle, must now seek and obtain the approval of the Sea and River Defence Board.
In a notice published today, the Ministry said the signs and ads will have to comply with the guidelines that are stipulated by the Sea and River Defence Board.
Written applications will have to be submitted to the Chairman of the Board and the application should contain sufficient information on the reasons for publishing the notice, including a description of the content including its text. The application should also indicate the desired period for the notice or advertisement on the seawall.
Companies, agencies and organisations with existing signage along the seawall are required to make contact with the River and Sea Defence Board at its Fort Street, Kingston Office.
