Investigations into the disappearance of 48-year-old Jennifer Persaud, have turned into a murder probe after the woman’s lifeless body was found packed into garbage bags and dumped in a swampy area at the side of the new Eccles to Ogle roadway in a section that leads to the dumpsite.

The woman had been reported missing by family members just over a week ago.

Three of those family members, including her husband and son, have since been arrested for questioning about the murder. The third suspect in custody is the son’s wife.

Police investigators have revealed that the body bore multiple stab wounds to several areas.

Investigators suspect that the woman might have been murdered several days ago, but her body was eventually moved and dumped in the swampy area at the side of the roadway, possibly a day or two days after the murder.

The investigations are ongoing and the Non Pariel home of the family has been visited and searched by investigators. Surveillance video recordings from nearby properties are to be examined.
