The body of an 18-year-old rank of the Guyana Defence Force was found at 11:50 this morning in the Tucville Squatting area.

The dead young man has been identified as Olijah Chesney of 562 D Field, Sophia, Greater Georgetown.

In a statement, the Guyana Police Force provided little details on the man’s killing and the discovery of the body.

An investigation is ongoing. The body is at a city morgue awaiting post mortem examination.
