Three Georgetown men who were nabbed by CANU agents on Thursday night in a car with more than 10 pounds of cocaine, will appear in Court on Monday to face drug possession and trafficking charges.
The three were intercepted by ranks of the Customs Anti Narcotics Unit, along Vlissengen Road in Georgetown.
According to a CANU release, the arrested drug trafficking suspects have been identified as Chef and businessman, Rawle Hoyte, Security guard Joel Hodge and Veterinary Doctor, Quacy Joseph.
CANU said its officers were part of an operation when they intercepted the car with the three men and found the five packets of cocaine in the car.
The three were immediately arrested and taken to CANU headquarters, where they were told of the drug trafficking offenses. They are likely to appear in Court on Monday.
