ONE Communications commissions new and improved Giftland location

Telecommunications giant, ONE Communications today commissioned its upgraded Giftland Mall location with a commitment to offer improved customer experience.

The new location features architecturally inspired counter spaces and pods, sleek tech-forward displays areas, modern retail office design, relaxed and comfortable seating, and an interactive digital atmosphere.

The company said customer expectations are evolving as a result of the advancements in technology, and the new and improved location was designed to meet their expectations.

During the commissioning ceremony, One Communications Chief Operations Officer for Mobile, Randall Hewitt, said the upgraded location is a blueprint of what the other branches would look like in the future, as the company moves to build on the services and products it offers.

“This is a standard that we are trying to emulate for everything that we do a one not only in our network, and our services but also in the way we serve customers going forward. So, this new store is our new blueprint of what we are going to be doing over at all of our retail properties over the next couple of years to get a consistent look and feel and standard, because at the end of the day without you the customers we don’t have a reason for being,” Hewitt said.

Hewitt said the company is increasingly expanding its reach, taking its services further into the Hinterland.

Georgetown Chamber of Commerce President, Kathy Smith, lauded the move, and said One Communications has continued to foster technological advancements in the country, and the tech-forward location is just one example.

“We are supporting an organization that has always been at the forefront of growth and development of Guyana, specifically as it relates to technology advancement and anything to do with making business easy or some form of ease of doing business in Guyana,” Smith said.

Over the past year, One Communications has invested significantly in improving connectivity across the country, including a broader network investment programme valued at approximately US$25 million.
