At the Georgetown Magistrates’ Court this morning, a young security guard was charged for stealing money from his employer, the Massy Company.
20-year-old, Shaq Williams stood before Magistrate Fabayo Azore and entered a plea of not guilty.
The Court heard that on the 20th April at the Massy Ruimveldt location, he allegedly stole $430,000 cash, which was property of the company.
The Court learnt that the man’s daily operations included the collection and depositing of sales money for the day.
On the day in question, he reportedly took the money and converted it to his own use.
With no objections to bail, the Magistrate granted bail in the sum of $100,000.
