A City Magistrate today released a caretaker on $100,000 bail after she was charged with malicious wounding for allegedly burning a 6-year-old child with a clothes iron.

The accused, Nicole Rosemay, stood before Magistrate, Leron Daly and pleaded not guilty to the charge when it was read to her in court.

The Court heard that between the 1st and 14th June, the woman unlawfully and maliciously wounded 6-year-old Keno Smith with the intention to cause actual bodily harm.

The Police Prosecutor had no objections to bail but asked that the woman lodge her passport.
