Four arrested over murder of money-changer and daughter

The Guyana Police Force has arrested four men as the probe continues into last Thursday’s gunning down of money changer, Aaron Latchman and his daughter Arrian Latchman.

The four were arrested during an early morning Police operation that took investigators into several city wards and villages.

One of the men arrested reportedly led investigators to the other suspects. A number of items belonging to the businessman were reportedly recovered.

Also found was a Toyota motorcar that investigators believe was used by the gunmen on the day of the attack.

News Source understands that three of the four persons arrested are known to law enforcement and may have had previous brushes with the law.

There are also reports that at least one of the suspects has told investigators that the group was hired by a former business partner of the money changer to execute him.

The gunmen were reportedly not expecting his daughter to be with him when they carried out the attack.

They reportedly helped themselves to a bag of money the money changer had with him after shooting the two dead.

The probe is ongoing
