Police investigators were called to Marigold Street, Roxanne Burnham Gardens this morning, after the body of a man was discovered in a clump of bushes.
Persons in the area said the man’s lifeless body bore at least one gunshot wound to the head. A farmer in the area who was reportedly taking his cattle to graze, made the discovery and raised an alarm.
The discovery was made just after 6:30am. One resident told News Source that it is believed that the man lived in the East Ruimveldt community and his body may have been dumped in Roxanne Burnham Gardens sometime during the night. The resident said she heard no gunshots or any strange sounds during the night.
The dead man has been identified as 27-year-old, Roy Rowland, of lot 25 Castello Housing Scheme, La Penitence, Georgetown.
