President to break Press Conference drought on Friday

After more than a year, President David Granger will host a full press conference this coming Friday to address several national, regional and international issues related to Guyana.

The President’s Head of Communications and Publicity, Mark Archer, confirmed to News Source that the Presidential press conference will take place this coming Friday morning.

While he would offer side interviews at various events and public appearances, the President has been holding out on hosting regular full press conferences. His weekly television interview show with members of the media, has been off air for several weeks.

Earlier this year, he had promised that he would have held a press conference when he returns from the CARICOM Meeting.  That was back in July and the press conference never took place.

President Granger is currently preparing for a state visit to neighbouring Brazil.
