58-year-old Victoria Village resident, Wayne Summer, and 45-year-old Shawn Baynes of the same East Coast Demerara village, were charged and remanded to jail on Tuesday for harbouring attempted murder suspect, Dexter McDonald aka “Labba”.

The two accused appeared at the Vigilance Magistrate’s Court before Magistrate Fabio Azore, and both pleaded not guilty to the charge.

The Police told the Court that the two men were arrested on the 17th May, 2024 after they were found to be harbouring Dexter McDonald, who was wanted by the Police.

McDonald has since been arrested and charged in a robbery and attempted murder case.

Summer and Baynes were both denied bail. They will make their next Court appearance on the 18th June, when the case against them will continue.
