Through her company Nola Ro & Co., the 43-year-old mother of one, has been helping entrepreneurs turn their bold ideas into tangible success, by helping them to navigate the world of business “with clarity, confidence, and a little bit of flair.”

During a recent visit to Guyana, Rodney, who grew up in Soesdyke before migrating to the US, said she is excited about working with Guyanese entrepreneurs.

“I have not tap into the Guyanese community yet but it is definitely my goal. I am so excited to bring everything that I learn, everything that I currently do in New York back home,” Rodney told News Source.

Rodney conducts coaching sessions, courses, brainstorming workshops, and business development sessions to help entrepreneurs.

She said she gained a wealth of experience while working in the Hospitality Industry.

“So, I have been in hospitality for 20 years. I have worked in the Restaurant Industry and gravitated towards the Bar Industry, Night Club Industry, Nightlife Industry. I am a trained chef, trained mixologist and ended up doing catering business, a virtual food business and today, I am transitioning into business consulting. With all of my experiences and skills, I have decided to, what the people are calling today, live the soft life. So, I think consulting and coaching is where I get to do that,” she said.

The mother of one said her work in the business industry was influenced by her mother.

“Entrepreneurship, I don’t know if this is something that I chose or if it is something I ended up gravitating to because my mother has always been a businesswoman. My mom has always, ever since I was a little girl living here hustle on the side. If she had a job, there was always a side thing that she was doing and eventually in New York created businesses that are well known, and she’s also well-known and loved,” Rodney explained.

But there is more to Rodney other than business. She is the creator and host of The Nola Ro Experience Podcast, a space for raw, honest conversations about life’s challenges and the growth that comes from them.

Through her nonprofit organization – The Guildford & Erma Foundation –Rodney promotes community wellness initiatives with major focus on mental health.

“I am also super proud of the also the Guildford & Erma Foundation, which is named after my grandparents, this is where I truly get to go into the community and offer people things that they need from the heart space. So, the Guildford and Erma Foundation focuses on mental health initiatives and tech and financial literacy,” she explained.

Through her company and foundation, Rodney continues to positively impact the lives of many.
