The Attorney representing the defendant, told the court that on the day in question, Lindo fell into to a nearby trench and suffered the injuries to his stomach. The magistrate rejected the bail application and remanded the accused to jail.

A Man from the Cinderella County of Essequibo,was today remanded to prison, after he was charged for the attempted murder of a man,who he claims, was flirting with his wife.

25-Year-Old, Leeland Marco stood before Magistrate Fabayo Azore as the charge was read.

It stated that on the 8th of April in Mahdia,with the intent to commit murder, he stabbed Terrence Lindo to his lower abdomen with a knife, causing him to be hospitalized.

Earlier report indicated that the defendant was passing the shop where Lindo was consuming alcohol,when the man started to flirt with his wife.

The accused confronted the man and a fight broke out between the two. It ended with Terrence Lindo being stabbed.
