A 23-year-old man on the island of Leguan in the Essequibo, lost his life this morning when he reportedly lost control of his motorcycle and slammed into a power pole.
A report from the Guyana Police Force stated that Vickash Singh was riding his motorcycle at around 3:20 this morning, when he lost complete control of the bike, crashing into the pole at the side of the roadway.
The Police statement said he was riding at a fast rate at the time.
As a result of the collision, the motorcyclist received head and other injuries. He was picked up in an unconscious condition and taken to the Leguan Cottage Hospital, where he was pronounced dead on arrival by a doctor on duty. A post-mortem examination is to be performed on his body.
