Police investigators probing the murder of Toshao Ridley Joseph in a room of the Signature Inn Hotel are trying to confirm the identity of the suspect, who was captured on surveillance cameras from the hotel and other nearby buildings in the Queenstown and Alberttown areas.
In a statement this afternoon, the Police said the suspect is an Amerindian man, who was seen entering the hotel with the Toshao and heading to his room just before 1 o’clock this morning.
According to the Police statement, Toshao Joseph initially arrived at the hotel and got checked-in at around 6:23pm on Sunday.
Moments after, he was seen leaving his room and the hotel premises.
The Police said at around 12:50 this morning, Toshao Joseph returned to the hotel in the company of an Amerindian man, and before the two headed to his room, Joseph purchased a bottle of water from the receptionist. The suspect was seen with a bottle of the popular Rude Boy drink.
The two men were then seen entering the hotel room, but only the suspect emerged from the room just over an hour later.

The Police said the suspect left the hotel premises, and walked in a western direction on Laluni Street, and then turned South onto Albert Street in Alberttown.
Back at the hotel, investigators said they observed several reddish stains suspected to be blood stains on the walkway leading to the room, and they also observed a hotel in the door of the room that was likely caused by a sharp object.
The Police said Toshao Joseph was found lying on his abdomen in a pool of blood, and there were several partial footwear impressions among the blood stains on the floor.
Detectives also observed blood splattered on the walls and ceiling of the room and behind the door.
As News Source first reported, the body was found with 19 stab wounds. The Police said the investigators also found a bottle of the Rude Boy drink that the suspect was seen carrying, on the floor of the room close to the body.
Investigators have been going through a number of video recordings from the hotel and other nearby buildings that captured the suspect as he arrived and left the hotel.
The investigations are ongoing.
