WIN eyes 130,000 votes in Region 4 to clinch victory; Sarabo-Halley is PM Candidate

The We Invest in Nationhood (WIN) party closed off its campaign in the 2025 elections at the Marriott Beach front with a final rally that saw party leaders warning that the two major parties are in trouble with Monday’s elections as WIN intends to win it all.

Party Leader and Presidential Candidate, Azruddin Mohamed told the large gathering in the beach that a government under his watch will look out for all the people of Guyana. He lashed out at the governing party, accusing it of ignoring the majority of Guyanese even as it has had more resources at its disposal.

“I am averaging that in Region Four, we will have about 75 to 80% voter turn out, so with this being said, we need the WIN Movement, because its your movement, we need 130,000 votes in Region 4. The reason why we need 130,000 votes and I know we will get it, is because we have a lot of first time voters and everybody fed up with the red and green party”, Mohamed said.

He said he believes WIN will win the elections because he is convinced that his party is the only multi-ethnic party in the country.

“I don’t look at race, I don’t look at face, religion ect. I am for every single one of you in this country, everyone”, Mohamed said.

He said the WIN party is garnering support from all across Guyana and from every race, and that is why he is confident of victory at Monday’s elections.

At Sunday’s rally, Mr. Mohamed also named former APNU+AFC Member of Parliament, Tabitha Sarabo-Halley as his Prime Ministerial Candidate. She has been at the forefront of the party’s campaign since its launch.

In her speech to supporters last evening, Sarabo-Halley said Guyanese across the country have grown tired of the PPP and its promises, and its time for them to go.

“Communities became wary and tired of the same leaders and the same parties as they continued to fail us, but then something changed, you decided that what existed for 59 years has not right by you, you decided that you wanted a new set of leadership. A leadership that listens, a leadership that serves, a leadership that puts you first and out of the shadows of hopelessness came a new light, a blue light”, Sarabo-Halley said.

She told party supporters that hope has returned to Guyana and not as a slogan, but as a living force.

“It is the belief that we the people hold the power to transform our nation, it is the conviction that integrity, that justice, that fairness and opportunity can define governance in Guyana. It is the faith that together we can break free from the old politics of division and build a Guyana where every one has a place and every one has a chance”, she noted.

According to the PM Candidate, WIN is more than just a political party. She said it is the embodiment of the will of the people of Guyana and a movement that proven that the voice of the ordinary man matters and that their struggle matters.

WIN General Secretary, Odessa Primus, said the party was not taken seriously when it was launched, but it has proven that it is ready to take the seat of Government. She encouraged supporters to turn up at the polls in large numbers and lend their support to the party. Primus said the current Government has failed the nation for the past 33 years, and while it refers to the young people supporting WIN as “scrapes”, they must know that WIN intends to “scrape up” all the votes at Monday’s elections.
