Statements from Officials at the National Forensic Science University in India, and a DNA analysis report from the Center of Excellence in DNA Forensic in India were among the more than 110 statements tendered into evidence today, in addition to a number of recordings as the paper committal proceedings in the deadly October 2025 Gas Station Bombing continued in the Georgetown Magistrates’ Court.
The evidence tendered also included the post-mortem report on the death of six-year-old Soraya Bourne who died in the bombing, medical certificates for the other victims who survived the attack, immigration records for four of the accused – Jhonny Boodram, Alexander Bettencourt, Daniel Alexander Ramirez Peodemo and Jennifer Rodriguez- in addition to the wanted bulletins that were issued after the deadly attack.
The evidence tendered also included multiple statements from a number of police officers including investigators.

In total, more than 225 statements have been tendered.
Also admitted into evidence were discs containing recordings, including recordings of the Regent Street Gas Station and KFC Food Outlet on the day of the attack, October 26, 2025.
The accused – Jhonny Boodram, Alexander Bettencourt, Kystal LaCruz, and the prime suspect, Daniel Alexander Ramirez Poedemo – are currently facing a terrorism charge for the October 2025 bombing.
Today, they appeared virtually for the hearing, and are expected to make another virtual appearance on June 29, 2026, when the paper committal proceedings is expected to continue before Chief Magistrate (ag), Faith Mc Gusty.
During this process, Magistrate Mc Gusty will review all statements, reports and documentary evidence tendered in court before deciding whether there is sufficient evidence against those accused of bombing the gas station.
Already, two Guyanese men, Ramesh Pramdeo and Wayne Corriea – have been cleared of the crime in the Leonora Magistrate’s Court.
They were jointly charged with Venezuelan national Jennifer Rodrigues. Rodrigues was committed to stand trial in the High Court based on the evidence before that Court.
