The salesman, who has been accused of stabbing two men to death in the heart of the city after allegedly coming under attack from them, was today, charged with two counts of manslaughter, and placed on $750,000 bail for each of the offences.

The accused, 29-year-old, Angelo Answick, appeared in the Georgetown Magistrates’ Court before Magistrate Leron Daly to answer to the charges.

He  is accused of killing 23-year-old Werford Vincent Trim and 36-year-old Tyrone Captain during an altercation last Friday morning in the vicinity of Water Street, Georgetown.

Answick was represented by Attorney-at-Law Kiswana Jefford.

Jefford in her bail application told the Court that Answick was attacked by the two men and was defending himself at the time.

A police officer confirmed that a CCTV Footage disclosed that the two men had trailed Answick to the place where the incident occurred and that one of them had lashed Answick with a bottle before the alteration.

It was also reported that there was another man other than the two deceased persons involved in the incident, but he fled the scene.

Upon hearing Jefford’s defence, Magistrate Daly granted bail in the sum of $750,000 on each count of the manslaughter charges.
